On SE 47th Terrace is a red & white building called Family Hardware (across from Hampton Inn and next to Kiwanis Thrift Shop). It is super organized. If you’re a handyman, contractor or DIYer, I recommend you check them out. Overall their prices might be somewhat higher than the big box stores, but if you’re near downtown Cape, it saves you driving time and fuel. Plus, it’s just a better shopping experience. They are open 7 days a week. They have items you expect (nails, screws, light bulbs, paint, cooking grills, shims, extension cords, plumbing stuff, etc.) and things you didn’t (pet supplies, Squishmallows). I was only there to look, but I bought a beautiful Jellybean rug. If you’ve been to the big box stores and had to chase down an employee for help… and then wondered about their expertise, there are no such worries at Family Hardware. Their employees are friendly and knowledgeable (and you don’t have to push a button and wait for 20”).

Nice to be able to find what I was looking for but I did pay more than twice than what I could have if I had bought it online. I like to give small businesses my $$ but when you realize that this gesture cost me so much more, it leaves me no choice but to rethink my actions.

I would give them zero stars but not an option went there to buy painters tape said it was on sale for 5.99 but when I checked out it rang up for 7.99 the clerk told me that sale ended in may then remove the sales price from the shelf I guess it’s my job to read all sale tags to ensure they are advertising the correct month won’t be back to this joke of a business. Won’t be back to this Sorry location

I recently went to Family Hardware because I was having trouble installing something in my home. Every time I’ve gone there, they have been so friendly and helpful and this time was no exception. They found exactly what I needed and within an hour my installation was done. It is so refreshing to get personalized, friendly service. Thank you Family Hardware!

Exceptional service. Will definitely use again. Followed the instructions on Family Hardware's website and getting two saw blades professionally sharpened could not have been easier. The process worked exactly as described that it would and I was kept informed on every step. Shipping the blades was simple because of the prepaid shipping label and the use of UPS. The blades were sharpened and sent back about 1 week earlier than I expected. All charges were exactly as stated on the website and were very reasonable. The sharpening and cleaning restored the blades to like new conditions. Family Hardware earns my highest recommendation because of quality sharpening and exceptionally efficient processing.
